Express Entry :
Express Entry is not a new immigration program, it is a new way for citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to manage economic immigration applications online. EE has faster processing times, any easier way to get a job offer from and eligible employer in Canada. To qualify for the express entry pool, potential candidates must meet the criteria of atleast 1 of 3 federal economic immigration programs.
Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP): Skilled workers are people with skilled professional work experience who are chosen as permanent residents based on their ability to contribute to the Canadian economy.
The 100-point FSWP selection grid assesses applicants against six main criteria. To pass, candidates need 67 points or more. Maximum of 25 points are awarded based on the level of your education compared to Canadian standards.
Experience : Candidates should have at least 1 year continuous full time or an equal amount in part time, it should be paid, it should be within last 10 years, should be in the same NOC skill type (0,A or B).
Language ability: Candidate must meet the minimum level of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in English or Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) 7 in French for the first official language in all four language abilities. If candidates want to score points for the second official language , candidate must meet the minimum level of CLB 5 in all four language abilities.

Education: Candidate must have a Canadian secondary (high school) or post-secondary certificate, diploma/ degree or a completed foreign credential and an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report from an agency approved by CIC.

Express entry profile creation is FREE and the profile can remain active for up to 1 year, during this period candidate can update their profiles.

Once you’re in the pool: skilled immigrants (Express Entry)

You would be given points based on the information you provided in your profile (skills and experience). You are ranked using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
There will be regular rounds to invite the top-ranked candidates in the pool to apply for permanent residence.
You must have an invitation to apply before you can apply online for permanent residence.

The points you get from the CRS include a core set of points up to 600 and a set of additional points of up to 600. Your total score will be out of 1,200. It is based on the four parts of the CRS formula:

Spouse or common-law partner factors, such as their language skills and education
Skills transferability, including education and work experience
Additional: Up to 600 points for:
Canadian degrees, diplomas or certificates
a valid job offer
a nomination from a province or territory

strong French language skills
